1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of palisadeinsights.ca and its content (the “site”), operated by Palisade Insights (“we”, “us”). They form a binding agreement between you and us. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
If you use the site on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for it.
2. Information only, not advice
Content on the site is general information about our firm and services. It is not geopolitical, security, legal, financial or investment advice, and you should not rely on it to make decisions.
Our advisory services are provided only under a separate written engagement agreement. Contacting us through the site does not create a client relationship.
3. Changes to the site and these terms
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice.
We may also update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the site only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers or any connected system, or probe, scan or test its security;
- interfere with the site’s operation, including through malware, denial-of-service attacks or excessive automated requests;
- use bots, scrapers or other automated means to copy content or harvest email addresses or other contact details;
- submit false, misleading, abusive or unsolicited promotional material through our forms;
- impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with Palisade Insights.
5. Intellectual property
The site and its content, including text, graphics, the Palisade Insights name and logo, and the site’s design, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law.
You may view and print pages for your own non-commercial reference. You may not copy, republish, sell, modify or create derivative works from the content, or use our name or logo, without our written permission.
If you believe content on the site infringes your rights, email us with a description of the work, where it appears on the site, and your contact details. We will review and respond promptly.
6. Links to other websites
The site may link to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices, and a link does not mean we endorse them.
7. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information, and forms part of these terms.
8. No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, including that the site will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, secure or free of errors or harmful components.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Palisade Insights and its principals, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or reputation, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its content.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Palisade Insights against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.
11. Suspension of access
We may suspend or block your access to the site at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms. Sections 5 and 8 to 12 continue to apply after your access ends.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. You agree that the courts of Alberta have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with our privacy policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the site.
